Marilyn Osborne, CPA CA, ACC specializes in coaching executives and senior leaders in the finance community; in public accounting, banking, asset management, and in financial leadership roles across all industry sectors. As an Associate Accredited Coach accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF), she is guided by international standards and bound by the ethical practices prescribed by the ICF.
Her goal is to support each client to make the biggest sustainable difference for them within the shortest time, and with clear and direct benefits to their business goals.
Client outcomes have included greater resilience and capacity to manage change, and improved executive presence and influence. Outcomes for their business have included higher performing teams and better cross-functional collaboration. Her clients’ own words, here, speak to results that have made a difference for them, personally and professionally, with benefits for their teams and organizations.
Marilyn began her career as a Chartered Accountant, then worked in Management Consulting in Deals as a CBV. In public accounting she was in charge on the largest clients in the Toronto office and later, as a Headhunter for Chartered Accountants, she was a top producer. Marilyn’s focus was on placing financial professionals up to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer level into both public and privately owned companies across all industry sectors. She was recognized for building strong relationships with clients, and for positively impacting internal work cultures as a mentor.
While a headhunter, Marilyn met hundreds of CA’s, many of whom were struggling with frustration and overwhelm. Marilyn became a coach when she discovered that coaching meant supporting others in ways that could make a significant quality of life difference for them and the people around them.
Marilyn’s coach training was through one of the premier coaching schools, Adler International Learning. She has also served on the Board of the Toronto Chapter of the International Coach Federation, and was the Chair of the ICF committee that vets coaching programs, and grants the PRISM Award to organizations that use coaching effectively with proven benefits to their bottom line.
Marilyn has three adult children and lives in Toronto with her husband and her dog named Coby.
